'The Voice': Watch the Performances of the Final Four [Video]
by Andy NeuenschwanderThe votes are in, and the finalists for "The Voice" have been decided. You can get a recap of the results show, but if you want a closer look at the final four, we can also show you their performances right here!
Jermaine Paul:
The contestant from Team Blake will be Jermaine Paul. The former backup singer for Alicia Keys has struck a chord with the audience, having never faced elimination thus far thanks to voters at home. His strong pop vocals, which include a lot of runs, embellishments and big notes, are tailor-made for this type of show. However, Paul will have a tough road ahead of him with stiff competition on the other teams.
Chris Mann:
Chris Mann, representing Team Christina, is a bit of a surprise, even to himself. Indie girl Lindsey Pavao was a favorite with her interesting covers of well-known pop songs, but it may have been her choice to do a slightly obscure Bon Iver song that did her in. Mann, on the other hand, is an opera singer, which is a style that you don't often see on purely vocal competition shows (a couple have shown up on "America's Got Talent," though).
Mann seems to have tremendous fan support, and shook his head in amazement when he was chosen for the final, and could end up surprising us and making it to the final two because of that fan base.
Tony Lucca:
For Team Adam, Tony Lucca seemed a no-brainer from the beginning. He had a "hook" in that he was in the Mickey Mouse Club with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and "Voice" coach Christina Aguilera back in the day, and he came with a built-in fan base from years of small-scale success in music.
That is likely why Adam Levine gave Tony the voting edge in the results show, overturning the audience vote, which went slightly in Katrina Parker's favor. Considering that, Tony might not have what it takes to win the competition, but he's definitely a possibility for the final two. He'll just have to match the electricity of his past performances of "Baby One More Time" and "How You Like Me Now," the latter of which you can watch below.
Juliet Simms:
If you could name a frontrunner at this point, it would have to be Juliet Simms of Team Cee Lo. Juliet has been remarkably consistent through the competition, even though she did have to sing for a save at one point. However, she beat Jamar Rogers by a landslide in the voting this week, which is an accomplishment considering the support Jamar had from his own fan base. In fact, Jamar was considered a favorite to win the whole thing himself.
If Juliet puts out another performance like her renditions of "Oh! Darling" and "It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World," then she could walk away the winner of the competition with ease.
