'The Voice' Season 2, Episode 19 Recap - Who Went Home in the Semifinals Results Show?

It was a night of reunions and few surprises, as last year's contestants returned to "The Voice" to perform new hits, while the results from the semifinals were read with little in terms of upsets.

Dia Frampton was the first returning finalist to perform, doing her single "Don't Kick the Chair" with Kid Cudi. The staging was a bit obvious, what with the stack of chairs, and it seemed odd to combine Dia with rap, but Dia looks to be a little more out of her shell than she was a year ago.

Vicci Martinez was the next to go, with "Come Along." She performed with her former coach, Cee Lo. The song was a little subdued, which is a shame considering how hard she rocked "Dog Days Are Over" last year, and the lyrics were less than inspired. Still, it was cute to see her and Cee Lo performing together again.

Beverly McClellan joined up with Cyndi Lauper for her single "Money Changes Everything." Beverly gave a strong showing in the rock-heavy song, but Lauper seems to have seen better days, turning the performance into a bit of a disaster. Beverly is still sporting her bald look, though, so all is right with the world.

Javier Colon, last season's winner, performed his own "Drop In the Ocean." The ballad had Colon at the piano most of the time, still wearing his signature baseball cap. The song afforded him some opportunities to show off the pipes that made him the big winner last season, but not quite to the same extent that we saw at times last year.

The first results were for Team Christina, which meant Chris Mann and Lindsey Pavao were up. Christina opted to go 50/50 between the two, citing the huge difference between their styles, which makes it tough to compare them. That left it up to the audience vote, which ended up with a score of 104 to 96 in Chris' favor. Chris shook his head in disbelief as he went off stage, while Lindsey gave a tearful thank you to everyone involved with the show.

The second results were for Team Adam, putting Katrina Parker up against Tony Lucca. Adam went 60/40 with his contestants, giving the slight edge to Tony and citing a connection with him as the reason behind it. Adding in the audience scores, Tony ended up with 108 to Katrina's 92. That would imply that Katrina actually had 52% of the audience vote to Tony's 48%, so Adam ended up being the decider here. Interesting.

Team Blake was up third, as Erin Willett went up against Jermaine Paul. Blake took the easy way out, giving them each 50 points despite the fact that Erin's performance from last night was under the pitch for most of the song. Jermaine destroyed Erin in the audience vote, though, with a final score of 127 to 72.

The final team to get results was Team Cee Lo, with Jamar Rogers up against Juliet Simms. Both contestants might be the strongest in the competition, giving Cee Lo a tough choice. Both were in tears as Cee Lo heaped praise on the two of them, and he ended up giving 60 to Juliet and 40 to Jamar, in a surprising choice. Cee Lo justified it based on the performances last night, saying that Juliet had a slight edge. After the audience score, the final was a shocking 121 to 79 in Juliet's favor, meaning that the difference in Cee Lo's points wouldn't have made a difference. Jamar was quiet and brief in his goodbye, particularly because the show was short on time.

So, three pretty obvious outcomes, with one big shocker. Is Juliet the absolute favorite now, having received that big an advantage over the very strong Jamar? Will Adam receive flack from the masses for going against the will of the people? Will Chris Mann shock everyone and win the whole damn thing, forcing Universal Republic Records to give an opera singer a $1 million recording contract?
