'The Voice' Originals Debut High on iTunes: Who Will Win Tonight?

'The Voice' Originals Debut High on iTunes: Who Will Win Tonight? The morning after the four finalists on "The Voice" performed their new original songs, those songs are tearing up the iTunes charts...at least, two of them are.

Here's the thing about "The Voice" and iTunes: as part of the show's integration with digital and social media, a download of an artist's original song on iTunes counts as a vote. Based on that fact, a look at the charts might give us a hint at who will win the whole thing tonight.

As of 2:00pm, Dia Frampton's single "Inventing Shadows" sits at the top of the iTunes singles chart, followed by Javier Colon's "Stitch by Stitch" at #2. Apple doesn't tell us the exact number of downloads (that would give it away, wouldn't it?), so we don't know exactly how close it is.

Interestingly, Javier's duet with Adam Levine of "Man in the Mirror" also broke the top 10 to hit #7, while Dia's duet with country star Blake Shelton sits at #12. While downloads of the duets don't count as votes, the popularity of Javier's duet might indicate that the online or call-in voting could be stronger for Javier.

Vicci Martinez' single "Afraid to Sleep" rests at #14 for now, and Beverly McClellan's duet with Christina Aguilera (the two sang Christina's own "Beautiful") is high up at #16, her original song "Lovesick" down at #29.

So the downloads seem to show that the race is going to be entirely between Javier Colon and Dia Frampton. While Javier has been a favorite of the coaches and has a more impressive voice, Dia has a unique singing style and has won over viewers with her creative covers.

The iTunes downloads are only part of the voting, so things could change once the online and call-in audience votes are factored in. But for now, it looks like the night might belong to the shy, quiet Dia.
