Adam Levine and 'The Voice' Mentors Start a Swear Jar for Charity

Adam Levine and 'The Voice' Mentors Start a Swear Jar for Charity Whenever someone drops an F-bomb on "American Idol," it's big news the next day (well, less so lately with Steven Tyler). But on "The Voice," the swear words fly fast and frequently, enough so that mentor Adam Levine has come up with a solution to cut back.

I have a dirty mouth. I curse a lot and I want to try to contain that a little bit,” said Levine in a recent interview. “I’ll have a little curse jar next to me. Every time we say a bad word, $100 goes to charity."

If you have been watching "The Voice," you know that means at least a couple hundred will go to charity each episode. But besides the benefit to charity and Levine's improved manners, there's another bonus to this idea: think of the banter! Already the judges on "The Voice" are known for joking around with each other, but if Levine actually brings a swear jar with him, that could add a running gag to the show that at least the producers will eat up, if not audiences.

Levine's co-mentor Blake Shelton has already voiced his support of the idea, and while Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green tend to watch their language, they will probably be game too.

Will Levine follow through on his swear jar concept? Watch "The Voice" tonight, or read our recap, and find out!
