Vinny Leaves 'Jersey Shore' House: Is He Gone for Good?

Is Vinny done with "Jersey Shore?" Signs point to "yeahhhhh buddy!"

A source close to the production told OK! Magazine that the "Jersey Shore" star has left the house and gone home to spend time with his family. But there was no big, dramatic exit for the usually-chill Vinny: no argument with cuddle buddy Snooki, no fistfight with his pal Pauly D. Apparently, Vinny is just homesick.

According to the source, the "Shore" cast was unaware of how long they would be away from home. The crew was in Florence, Italy for a couple of months shooting season four, and recently returned to Seaside to shoot season five. The stretch proved to be too much for the family-oriented Vinny, who split today to go see his family.

This isn't the first time a cast member has left the house: just last season, Sammi left after a series of arguments with on-again, off-again boyfriend Ronnie. She returned later, though, to finish filming season three (and provide more arguments), and is still with the show.

We'll see if this is just a temporary leave for Vinny...maybe a few days at home will make him feel a little more at ease with being at the house for another couple of months. After all, season five is only a few days into its shooting schedule, so if Vinny stays out of the picture he'll practically be a no-show for the entire season!

Of course, Vinny does have a contract with the show, so even though it looks like he wants out, he could be back soon. Plus, with the possibility of this being his last season on "Jersey Shore," he might want to make the most of it.
