VIDEO: Watch Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's Reactions to Bin Laden Death on 'The Daily Show' and 'Colbert Report' Leave it to a couple of New Yorkers to give the most gleeful report of the death of Osama Bin Laden.

Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert were both noticeably giddy last night, as the first episodes of "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report" since President Obama's announcement aired. The two took different approaches to the topic, but both with the same attitude: they're pretty glad he's dead.

Stewart opened his show with a good one: he announced the night's guest, Philip K. Howard, as a replacement, saying that the previously booked guest, Osama Bin Laden, had wimped out. The jokes kept rolling in, along with what might be a record number of punny graphics, but Stewart drove the point home at the end. "I suppose I should be expressing some ambivalence over the targeted killing of another human being, and yet, uh, no," he quipped.

He went on to talk about how Bin Laden would no longer be the face of the Arab and Muslim world, and it would now be the young people fighting against tyranny in Egypt, Libya, and elsewhere. For the master stroke, Stewart noted that the terrorists in Al-Qaeda "have nothing," as all they've managed to do is try to kill more people. "We're back, baby," Stewart says.

Colbert, meanwhile, couldn't wipe the smile off of his face: "I am as giddy as a schoolgirl who just shot Osama in the eye," said the comedy host. "I hope I am never again this happy over someone's death. I'm, sure, I know if I saw myself in a mirror I would be appalled at the look on my face," said Colbert.

"Nope, I like this. This is a good look," he added after looking in a mirror.
