VIDEO: New 'Dexter' Promo Will Creep You Right Out

Dexter has a message for us, his closest friends and confidantes: "I'm feeling like my old self again."

It's been a rough couple of seasons for everybody's favorite serial killer on Showtime's hit show "Dexter." His new image as a family man (and the, er, problems that came with it) changed him considerably, and his showdown with Trinity shook him to the core.

But after last season and his team-up with Julia Stiles' Lumen, Dexter is feeling "renewed, recharged, refocused."

A new 30-second promo video has Michael C. Hall, as Dexter, staring straight into our eyes--nay, our very souls--and intoning his deepest secrets to us, as he often does. "You know me. We've been through a lot together," he says. "I've always found it easiest to be honest with you."

The promo plays into the best parts of this show: the feeling that we're all in on a little secret, plus the guilty pleasure of actually enjoying it when Dexter is at his bloodiest. It also showcases that incredible dichotomy that Michael C. Hall can produce between being incredibly likeable and downright creepy.

Check out the promo below, and get ready to feel the hair on the back of your neck stand up. It's going to be a fun time this fall. Nothing's stopping Dexter from being Dexter.
