Video: 'Despicable Me 2' Trailer!

Adorable! If you... I mean, your kids... just couldn’t get enough of “Despicable Me,” then you’re in luck. Your favorite yellow, incoherent and overall-loving minions are set to return to the big screen in an upcoming sequel.

In the trailer, the minions, preparing to enjoy a nice quiet night in, are spooked by a noise outside. They sneak out to check on it, and find… well, I don’t want to entirely ruin the surprise. Probably what you’re expecting… and then not what you’re expecting, if one wants to be cryptic.
Despite containing almost zero comprehendible words, it’s pretty clear what’s going on with the great combination of singing, muttering, and slapping. Plus, you get to see the minions dressed in golf-style argyle sweater, and a French maid outfit. Really, what else does one need? Minion in a French maid outfit should be enough for you to be inspired to go see this.
It’s sort of hard to figure out what the plot of the movie is from the short… safe to guess that aliens are involved somehow, but probably not cats… but there’s a great cast lined up so clearly something good will go down. Steve Carell will be returning to lend his voice to the sequel. Al Pacino, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Steve Coogan and Russell Brand are all listed.
The sequel will be hitting theaters Fourth of July weekend of next year, so if you haven’t seen the first movie, there’s still time to watch it and fall in love.
