VIDEO: Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, and Adam Levine in 'The Voice' Promo

One of the big questions in TV for this summer is this: will "The Voice" work? NBC's vocal competition show seems intent on taking some of the spotlight away from "American Idol," but obviously it has a long way to go to catch one of the biggest shows on TV.

NBC just released a video promo for "The Voice," the first commercial we've seen for the program with all of the judges. In the promo, we get to hear Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Christina Aguilera give their thoughts on the show and what makes it different from other vocal competitions. Considering the three of them are musicians themselves, they should bring a personal passion to the judging that will help the show.

Also notable in the promo is the reveal that the judges will be facing away from the stage...it's a blind audition. I've never seen the original Dutch version of this show, so I had no idea that was in the cards. I'm not sure exactly how much of a difference it will make...after all, it could either help or hinder the Susan Boyles of the world. On one hand, someone might be judged for being unattractive, but on the other hand, Susan Boyle proved that when you sound different from how you look, people go nuts.
