Video: Amber Riley (Mercedes) Sings Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' on 'Glee' Last night's Valentine's Day episode of "Glee" had a number of highlights, including the return of Karovsky and a guest appearance from the great Jeff Goldblum, but one musical performance stood out in the episode... and not just because it was a good one.

Amber Riley, who plays Mercedes on the show, took on "I Will Always Love You," the song from Dolly Parton that was reinvented by Whitney Houston for "The Bodyguard." Though the episode aired just days after Houston's death, it had been shot, edited and submitted to Fox before Houston was found dead at the Beverly Hilton.

To further pay tribute to Houston, "Glee" attached a title card in memoriam to the singer at the end of the episode, which read "Whitney Houston, 1963-2012, We Will Always Love You."

The show doesn't always release video of their full performances, but special occasions call for a YouTube upload, and this one counts... especially because Riley does a great job with the song.
