Video: 17 Minutes of the 'Harry Potter' Movies... But Only the Spells

From "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," the series of Potter movies only improved. By the time we reached the end of the series, there were murmurs of Oscar nominations... and frankly, the fact that it didn't happen is a damn shame.

But there's a fact we have to face about the "Harry Potter" movies: as great as they were, and as nice some of the quieter, more emotional moments played out, the movies were really at their best when there was some awesome magic going on. The epic duels, the Battle of Hogwarts, even practicing patronuses in Dumbledore's Army made for highlights of the series.

So, naturally, the Internet has delivered unto us a supercut of all the instances where someone uses a spell in the Potter movies. It's surprisingly thorough: it's not just when people speak an incantation, and even simple actions such as Snape closing the shutters in his classrom are included.

The video is 17 minutes long and includes just about every spell (I can't think of any they missed) from all eight movies. As you can imagine, things get pretty crazy once you get toward the end and people start fighting each other and breaking into banks all willy-nilly.

Well done, Internet. Well done. Ten points to Gryffindor.
