This trailer for "The Vampire Diaries" season six features a familiar face that we didn't expect to see!

The promo for the upcoming sixth season of "The Vampire Diaries" gives us our first look at some actual footage...and things are looking mighty sad.

It looks as though Elena and the gang are still having a tough time dealing with the aftermath of the season five finale. And hey, considering what happened, we don't blame them.

Elena seems to be taking it all especially hard, begging Stefan to let her see Damon one last time. If he's really gone, what does she mean?

Well, it looks like Elena has some kind of magical method of summoning Damon, even if it's all in her mind...and even he tells her to "let go."
