'Vampire Diaries' Season 4: Things Will Get 'Even Worse' for Elena

Don't look now, but summer is disappearing on us quickly. Next thing you know, it'll be fall and all of your favorite summer shows, from "Breaking Bad" to "True Blood" will be gone for another year(ish). But that also means that all of your favorite fall shows will be back... including "The Vampire Diaries."

Considering the way that season three ended, fans are hungry for details about "The Vampire Diaries" season four. Luckily, Kat Graham (aka Bonnie) sat down with THR and spilled a few details.

What can we expect from season four? Well, according to Graham, we should keep an eye out for a past character making a surprise return. Graham didn't specify who that character is or whether the reappearance is a good or a bad thing, but she did say that it will happen within the first few episodes.

As for the newly turned Elena, the outlook for season four is a bit grim. Graham revealed that something "even worse" is going to happen to Elena early on. But you have to figure she'll be able to handle things on her own now, right?
