'Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Clip: Elena Wakes Up

Happy Tuesday, TVD fans! The CW has a brand new clip from the season four premiere of "The Vampire Diaries," detailing how things are going to go for Elena when she wakes up. Spoiler alert: she's not happy.

The clip starts out with a cool transition into Elena's awakening, as she is first aware of the mundane sounds of the human world of which she is no longer a part: a neighbor's lawnmower, a barking dog. That peaceful moment is interrupted by Elena actually coming to, in exactly the sort of way you would expect someone who has been dead for about a day would do so.

Stefan attempts to break the news to her gently, about how he saved Matt but failed to save her... but of course Damon's bluntness gets in the way of that. And when Elena finds out she has vampire blood in her system, she's a tad upset, to put it lightly.

It's a good bet that Elena is going to be angry about the situation, so we'll have to see how much of that gets taken out on Stefan. Sounds like Damon has gotten to that point already.
