'The Vampire Diaries' Returns Tonight, Watch an Extended Preview for 'Know Thy Enemy' Now

We know we don't have to say much to get you excited but... tonight at 8 p.m. on The CW, "The Vampire Diaries" returns with a brand new episode.
After being on hiatus since February we welcome six new episodes of the hit vamp show, rounding out season 2.
Thursday's have not been the same without it.
So far this season we've seen three-way fights, double love scenes and vampire confessions. We watched Damon rip Mason's heart right out of her chest and we know that Isobel is on her way back.
It seems like we have waited a lifetime for tonight, thankfully the wait is over!

"Elena and Alaric both lash out at John when Isobel's unexpected arrival leaves Jenna devastated. Bonnie works with Damon and Jeremy to find the spell they'll need to harness her ancestors' power.
