'The Vampire Diaries' Episode 17 Preview Clip: Elena and Stefan's Awkward Moment

We took a little trip back in time last week to see Damon and Stefan's awkward encounter, complete with fancy derby hats. This week, it looks like it's Elena and Stefan's turn to have an awkward encounter.

This clip from the upcoming episode, titled "Break On Through," has Elena accidentally running into Stefan at the house. After a quick exchange of words and some meaningful glances at Stefan's glass of blood, Stefan gives Elena some information about her family history, and it's not put too tactfully.

We should be getting a lot of Stefan and Elena in this episode, as Elena enlists him to help her out in saving a friend, hoping that it will shake him out of this whole evil Stefan funk that he's in.
