'Vampire Diaries' Casting News: Klaus' Brothers Join the Show

'Vampire Diaries' Casting News: Klaus' Brothers Join the Show Looks like those two coffins that Klaus has been dragging around (and Stefan stole) will be opened pretty soon: news has come out of the CW camp that "The Vampire Diaries" has added two new cast members, and they're Klaus' brothers!

TV Guide reports that Casper Zafer and Nathaniel Buzolic will be joining the cast of "The Vampire Diaries" as Finn and Kol, the two Originals that have been trapped in those caskets with white oak ash daggers in them.

Presumably they'll be fairly put out when they awake, considering the amount of time they've been neutralized in those coffins, and the fact that it was Klaus who put them there.

Both Zafer and Buzloic are relative unknowns, at least Stateside: Zafer is British and has starred in some BBC dramas, and Buzolic is Australian and had a recurring role in "Out of the Blue." Both actors are being cast in recurring roles for "Vampire Diaries," so it looks like Finn and Kol will be sticking around for a while.

What about the other coffins, then? "Vampire Diaries" EP Julie Plec has mentioned that there were only seven members of the Original family, which means five siblings. So, everyone is accounted for. We'll just have to wait and see what those other caskets are for, then.

"The Vampire Diaries" returns on January 5th, but the brothers won't be making their appearance until episode 13, which will air in late January or early February.
