'Vampire Diaries' and 'Gossip Girl' Cast Members Join 'Georgetown' Pilot

'Vampire Diaries' and 'Gossip Girl' Cast Members Join 'Georgetown' Pilot Tiya Sircar, as seen on “The Vampire Diaries” playing Aimee Bradley, will join the Warner Bros Television pilot “Georgetown.”

The ABC show, from the creators of “Gossip Girl," has been characterized as a sexy soap, and was first known as “The Inner Circle.” The show will highlight the young people behind Washington, D.C.'s biggest power brokers.

Sircar will play Harper Hawley, an assistant to a presidential speechwriter who gets fired for a media faux pas.

The show has the potential and backing to draw in young, posh viewers with other stars like "Gossip Girl" actor Kevin Zegers. Zegers will play Monty, a wealthy stockbroker with family connections and a long-standing rivalry with the young speechwriter at the center of the plot.

Georgetown is a trendy and historic neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Movies including “The Exorcist” and “All the President’s Men” have filmed in the neighborhood. The 1985 Brat Pack film, “St. Elmo’s Fire” was set in Georgetown, as well.
