USA Network Summer 2012 Premiere Lineup
by Sean ComerFor USA Network, there never really is an off-season.
While summer is often rerun season on many major networks, USA has that rare model where there's always something a full, fresh lineup. Sure, it's a wrap on the latest season of "Psych" and the final round nears for "In Plain Sight", and it feels like just yesterday that the third season of "White Collar" finished up. But while Shawn and Gus catch their breath and Mary Shannon calls it a day as of May 4, would you believe there's more "White Collar" coming in mere short months?
Before Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke get back to business, USA's summer starts June 6 when "Royal Pains" begins its forth seasons of concierge medicine in the Hamptons with Dr. Hank Lawson and the sports-psychology dramedy "Necessary Roughness" kicks off its sophomore season. Just as they did last summer, "Pains" will lead the way at 9 PM ET/PT on Wednesdays, with "Roughness" following right behind at 10 PM.
June 14, another previous hit pairing returns to Thursday nights. The sixth season of "Burn Notice" will be leading into the second-season premiere of the legal buddy dramedy "Suits".
Holding down Tuesday nights as the mercury rises, "White Collar" begins its fourth season and the spy thriller "Covert Affairs" its third on July 10.
Conspicuous by its absence, an expected USA original series doesn't have a date for its first bow yet. The network didn't announce when it would begin the six-episode run of the Sigourney Weaver-starring drama "Political Animals".
