Two Llamas Got On the Loose and Everyone Went Nuts About It
by Andy Neuenschwander
Forget Bonnie & Clyde. Black Llama and White Llama are the greatest criminal couple of our time.
Earlier today, ABC News in Arizona started covering a unique story: two llamas were on the loose and efforts to contain them were failing. Thankfully, a live-stream of the chase was quickly made available thanks to ABC's news choppers, who were apparently having a slow day otherwise.
The video showed the two llamas exhibiting surprising speed as they eluded a pursuing pickup truck with a rancher attempting to lasso the llamas with a rope. Black Llama was apprehended first, after which point White Llama led them on a shortened chase before giving up as well.
Almost immediately, the hashtag #llamadrama started circulating on Twitter as people began live-tweeting the event. Naturally, this led to a number of photoshopped pictures, including one featuring the llamas in a parody of "On The Run Tour: Beyonce and Jay Z."
