'Two and a Half Men' Trouble: Kutcher's Product Placement Angers CBS
by Richard SharpLooks like Charlie Sheen's not the only one who has managed to anger CBS executives on the set of "Two and a Half Men."
In this week's episode of the show, Kutcher's character Walden Schmidt opened up his laptop, which displayed stickers for Foursquare, Flipboard, Hipmunk, GroupMe and Chegg - all technology companies in which Kutcher has an investment stake.
A rep from CBS told E! News: "This was not part of any advertising transaction with CBS. Our policy is to disclose such financial interests in a credit at the end of the broadcast."
The CEO of Foursquare, Dennis Crowley, didn't help Kutcher much by tweeting: "Very cool - @aplusk shows off @thehipmunk @chegg @foursquare @groupme stickers on Two and a Half Men PIC from @dens."
According to reports, CBS may blur out the company's logos in future rebroadcasts.
Will this be the start of a new chapter to Chuck Lorre's new tell-all book? Inquiring minds want to know. Or not.
Meanwhile, back at the Kutcher ranch, the actor responded to rumors of infidelity and a potential breakup with wife Demi Moore this morning by Tweeting a link to the Public Enemy classic "Don't Belive the Hype."
