Twitter-Birds Get The Worm...Also, Katy Perry Movie Premiere Passes

Can't bear the wait until July 5 to see Katy Perry's premiering 3-D concern film, "Katy Perry: Part of Me?"

Would a three-day jumpstart leave you with soiled undergarments of supreme bliss?

One word: Twitter.

Paramount Pictures and Deadline announced Thursday that Perry's @KatyPerry followers get dibs on tickets to early screenings of the concert event in RealD 3-D in the U.S. and Canada July 2.

Scoring the passes comes as simple as tracking the hashtag "#KP3DMovieSneak." Paramount is sponsoring the promoted trend that links directly to a purchase site for passes. Attendees at each screening receive an exclusive collectible poster and unique pink Katy Perry RealD 3-D glasses. That should generate a lovely stampede of Perry's 22 million followers.

"When we invited Katy's millions of Twitter fans to be part of the movie-making experience, we were overwhelmed by the positive response," said Insurge Pictures President Amy Powell. "From Katy's first tweet announcing the movie, her fans have been incredibly passionate and supportive and we want to make sure they are among the first to see the film they helped shape."

In total, the fan premieres will take place in 100 locations in 64 U.S. and Canada markets. Each location will offer both 4 PM and 7 PM showtimes, with tickets already on sale at KatyPerryPartofMe.com/Sneak.
