'Twilight' Star Kellan Lutz Wants to Switch to 'Hunger Games'
by Andy NeuenschwanderIt's not that "Twilight" star Kellan Lutz is dissatisfied with the wildly successful movie series that he's currently a part of. It's just that there's another one that he really wants to be in, too.
Lutz told E! that he is a "huge fan" of "The Hunger Games," and would jump at the opportunity to be in the movies. "I got hooked reading all those books," said Lutz. "I remember before they started making a movie, I was like, 'I would love to be a part of this!'"
Unfortunately Lutz missed his chance to be one of the Tributes in the Arena... and he might have made a good Cato, too. Hey, there's always the chance he could nab a role in "Catching Fire," right? Of course, the big ones are already filled.
Lutz certainly doesn't see any problem with him "switching teams." In fact, he doesn't think there's much of a rivalry or comparison between "Twilight" and "Hunger Games" at all. "I feel like 'Twilight's' kind of more girly and on the romance side and lacks the action," explained Lutz, "and then 'Hunger Games' is very much an action-packed movie that lacks some of the romance."
We may or may not see Kellan Lutz in a future "Hunger Games" movie, but he will be reprising his role as Emmett Cullen when "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" hits theaters this November.
