The small city of Forks has demolished the high school that served as a setting for scenes from the "Twilight" movies. The 86-year-old facade of the school was a popular spot for fans of the series to take pictures, considering its prominence in the first few "Twilight" films.

Reports say that there was a petition going around to raise $287,000 to keep the facade standing, but it only raised a few thousand dollars.

The old school has been torn down in order to make way for a new one, which is great for residents of Forks, but not so great for "Twilight" fans. The cornerstone of the building will be kept and displayed in the new high school.

On the plus side, the restaurant in Port Angeles where Bella and Edward had their first date (called Bella Italia) is still open and has no plans of being bulldozed anytime soon.
