'Twilight: Breaking Dawn' Spoof Greenlit, Titled 'Breaking Wind' (oof)

I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said, "Only three things in life are certain: death, taxes, and stupid spoof movies of popular franchises and genres that attempt to ride the coattails of high-grossing films."

I'm paraphrasing Mr. Franklin's words there a bit, but the fact remains that we keep seeing these dumb spoof movies hit theaters every time there's a big hit or two in a genre. "Date Movie," "Meet the Spartans," and "Superhero Movie" all attempted to bring people to theaters with promises of "Hey! We'll reference that thing you saw, and you'll find it funny because it's a thing, that you saw!"

Now, there's a new "Twilight" spoof on the way. Yes, I know, "Vampires Suck" just came out a while ago, but if there's one thing this world needs, it's more dumb spoofs of vampire movies. This time, the film doesn't come from the "Meet the Spartans" team, but rather from writer/director Craig Moss, who has made a modest run of spoofs himself, including "The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It."

Yes, that's a real movie.

Here's the kicker: the "Breaking Dawn" spoof, which was previously titled "Fully Mooned" as it was set to release around the time of "New Moon" but was pushed back due to "Vampires Suck," has been re-named. The brilliant new title is "Breaking Wind." Get it? GET IT?!

Here's my question: for whom is this movie being made? Twihards aren't going to want to see their favorite characters lampooned, and those who despise "Twilight" probably don't even want to see a spoof of it. Then again, these spoofs are usually made for about $100 and a pack of saltine crackers, so it won't take much to make a profit.
