'True Blood' Star Ryan Kwanten Teases Huge Season Four Twist; Is Jason Stackhouse Going to Die?

'True Blood' Star Ryan Kwanten Teases Huge Season Four Twist; Is Jason Stackhouse Going to Die? "I'm kind of sworn to secrecy," says Ryan Kwanten of his disclosure agreements with the creators of "True Blood." But that won't stop him from at least hinting about some season four spoilers.

Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse on the hit HBO show, acknowledges the danger Jason is already in this season, what with having been locked in a freezer by werepanthers. "He has to get out of that icebox, first and foremost," Kwanten told MTV News. "He's got to fight for his life."

But in elaborating on the danger that the entire cast faces this year, Kwanten almost spilled the beans on a spoiler. Or did he? "I think out of everyone this season, he has by far the hardest time staying alive — if he does," he added, slyly.

Does that mean Jason's going to die? Well, probably not, but there's always a possibility. Kwanten noted that "True Blood" creator Alan Ball has kept all viewers on their toes, whether they have read the books on which "True Blood" is based or not. "In season one, Lafayette was supposed to die — and he's still alive, thank God," Kwanten explained. "Alan Ball prides himself on doing a very TV-savvy version of the books."

That means that, if you've read the books, you might have a good idea of what's in store for Jason later this season. But then again, the way the show has gone, you might not. All we know is that Kwanten promises "a whole new twist that you'll be very, very surprised by."

Come on, Kwanten, just tell us! Why ya gotta be like that?
