'True Blood' Star Kristin Bauer Joins 'Once Upon a Time' as Evil Queen

With "Twilight" ending after the "Breaking Dawn" installments, vampires are becoming less of a trend and fairy tales seem to be the hot new thing. "True Blood" star Kristin Bauer has a foot in both worlds, though!

Bauer is set to guest star on ABC's new fairy tale TV series "Once Upon a Time," in which she'll be playing another slightly evil character (Pam isn't always the nicest vampire, is she?). Bauer will appear on episode two of the series as Maleficent, the evil sorceress from fairy tale lore that adds the "sleeping" part to Sleeping Beauty.

Bauer's episode will air on October 30th for the late-premiering series. The show stars regulars Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parilla, "Breaking Bad" regular Giancarlo Esposito, and others.
