'True Blood' Star Denis O'Hare and Husband Adopt Foster Son

'True Blood' Star Denis O'Hare and Husband Adopt Foster Son Sometimes, when we're very used to seeing an actor playing a role on TV, it becomes tough to separate the actor from the role. It's hard to look at Giancarlo Esposito without seeing him as Gus Fring on "Breaking Bad." Likewise, it's hard to look at Denis O'Hare and not see Russell Edgington baring his fangs.

Yes, we know that Russell is one of the baddest, most bloodthirsty vampires to ever appear on "True Blood." But in real life, it's clear that O'Hare is a big softie: he has just announced that he'll be adopting a son!

O'Hare and his husband Hugo Redwood, who have been married for about a year, have been fostering their now 17-month-old boy since he was just two weeks old. Now, the couple has decided to make it official and adopt their foster baby.

See? He's not just about ripping out spines and killing whole fraternity houses!

It has been quite the year for babies on "True Blood," as Anna Paquin (Sookie) and Stephen Moyer (Bill) just welcomed a set of twins this past month, and Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) and his girlfriend Missy Yager had a pair of twins just last year as well.

So a big congratulations to O'Hare, who we're sure will make a wonderful and not at all scary father. Just don't let the kid watch the show.
