'Trophy Wife' Season 1, Episode 9: 'Russ Bradley Morrison' Recap Kate wakes up to find sick Pete in the bathroom. She offers to take his chaperone position for a field trip to the museum... Pete tells her with a smile that Diane is also chaperoning. Kate puts in a call to Jackie and asks her to heal Pete as revenge.

Kate drives Warren to school, discussing Diane. Warren suggests maybe she needs to "get some," although he doesn't know that it means having sex. Kate thinks it's a great idea.

Bert brings home a note for his parents that Hillary intercepts. He has been interrupting classes and disrupting students. Hillary recognizes the teacher as one she used to have, and offers to go fix the situation.

Jackie comes to "take care" of Pete and forces disgusting juices down his throat. She confiscates his cell phone.

Diane micromanages the field trip, as usual. Kate tries to turn the conversation to romance. Kate gets a call from Pete on the cell phone, asking her to save him from Jackie, but Jackie pulls out the phone cord and locks him in the room. Later, she removes his television and electronic book, and swaddles him to the point where he can't move.

Hillary comes in with Bert to suck up to the teacher.

At the museum cafe, Kate scopes out potential guys for Diane. She finds one who seems eerily similar to Diane, and goes to introduce herself to the man, Russ Bradley Morrison.

She goes to Diane to try to convince her to meet him, but Diane refuses to be "pimped."

Pete struggles to dress himself. He says he's going to the doctor, but Jackie refuses to let him drive, since she's doped him up so much. He falls, and she drags him back into bed.

Bert sucks up to his teacher, but she tells him not to be as big a suck up as his sister. Bert goes home and tells Hillary, who is furious.

Kate is still failing to get Diane and Russ together. They wait in line for the orchid pavillion at the museum, and Kate enlists Warren to get all of the kids out of line so Diane and Russ will end up in the pavillion together.

Pete, drugged up, wanders out of captivity and finds women in his living room. Jackie tries to convince him he's hallucinating.

Kate hides and observes Russ hitting on Diane. They kiss, and Kate realizes the two have been seeing each other. Russ says he's been seeing Diane for two years, though Diane won't admit it in public.

Later, Diane yells at Kate for meddling and destroying her relationship. Kate admits she just thought if Diane got laid she might be nicer. Diane tells her that she has only failed at one thing in her life, her marriage, so she wanted to keep this relationship quiet in case she failed again.

Jackie tells Pete the women are Entreprenuers. Pete demands they get out, and he's going to change the locks.

Hillary goes to talk to her old teacher. She insists she's going to get places with her "go-get" attitude no matter what she thinks.

Kate uses Warren to have a talk about him putting himself out there, planting him close to Diane so she'll overhear. The school group goes into the auditorium, and Diane interrupts the presentation to tell everyone that she talks to Russ Bradley and enjoys it and hopes to talk to him again. Kate tells Warren he did great, and Diane thanks Warren for his help.

Diane and Russ giggle together over the paper.
