Tracy Morgan to Appear on 'The Today' Show' a Year After His Accident

Tracy Morgan to Appear on 'The Today' Show' a Year After His Accident It was just about one year ago when "SNL" and "30 Rock" actor Tracy Morgan's limo bus was struck by a Walmart semi-truck. The six-car accident killed passenger James "Jimmy Mack" McNair, and seriously injured Morgan, along with two other passengers, Ardley Fuqua and Jeffrey Millea, and several others in other vehicles.

Morgan has been out of the public eye since the accident, which left him with major injuries including head trauma. However, he is reportedly ready to break his silence about the experience and his grueling recovery, and come back into view. Morgan will be appearing on Monday's "Today Show" to discuss the event.

The interview takes place following the recent lawsuit settlement with Walmart.

"Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families. I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably," Morgan recently said in a released statement.

Morgan's attorney also took time to praise Walmart for how they settled the case, adding that their many employees should be proud to work for the company.

"He's very happy to have put the litigation behind him and have closure to this tragic part of his life," he added.

Morgan's accident put an FXX comedy series on hold, though the station was quick to say that the project will be waiting for Morgan whenever he is ready to return to the screen. Reports of Morgan's recovery hint that his physical and cognitive therapies have been incredibly difficult, leaving us to wonder if Morgan will be returning to acting any time soon.
