Tracy Morgan Apologizes Again, Says He'll Fight Bullies

Tracy Morgan Apologizes Again, Says He'll Fight Bullies For some, there might not be any amount of apologizing that "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan could do to make up for his homophobic rant last week. But that doesn't mean he won't try.

In an interview with Russell Simmons, Morgan apologized again for the rant, and tried to make it as clear as possible that he's on the side of equality. "I am so unfiltered," said Morgan, "And sometimes as a result I say really stupid s***. The truth is if I had a gay son, I would love him just as much as if he was straight ... I might have to try to love even more because I know of the difficulty that he would have in society."

Morgan called homophobia a "sickness" that is "abusive," and made it clear that he didn't want to encourage bullies. Rather, he would fight them himself: "What I am most sad about is the comments I made about kids and bullying," Morgan said. "I would never want any young person to think that I wasn't on their side and if any young person thinks they can bully a young gay kid, come see me at "30 Rock." On the corner, I would be happy to meet you.  Or Brooklyn if you can't make it into Manhattan."

Morgan hopes that he can recover by putting it behind him, and hopes that his fans can as well. "Not asking anyone to feel sorry for me or pity me," said Morgan, "but I definitely don't want or need people to defend me. I was wrong. Period."

"Now, I just gotta think of some funny s***, not some s*** that gets me knocked upside my head," he added.
