Top TV 0f 2015: The Best Series You're Not Watching

We all know about the new TV series of 2015 that have managed to attract both critical praise and big audiences - think Empire - and we're aware of those series that drew impressive ratings without the critical approval - hello, Blindspot. But there are plenty of new series that have escaped the attention of broad audiences while receiving a positive reaction from critics and fans. Here's a handful of series you might want to give a look while you still can.

Master of None

Netflix is never going to tell us how many people watch its original series, but it's safe to say that Aziz Ansari's new sitcom didn't make as big a splash as some other Netflix properties. That's too bad, because according to critics and viewers on Rotten Tomatoes, it's one of the best new shows of the year.

Supergirl

The much-hyped Supergirl didn't fly under anyone's radar, but for some reason, its ratings have been far from spectacular. It could be because critics liked it much more than viewers seemed to, but if you like wholesome superhero adventure with a touch of feminism thrown in, the critical consensus is that you should like Melissa Benoist's Kara Zor-El.

Ash vs. Evil Dead

This one probably owes its relative obscurity to its out-of-the-way home on Starz, and its wacky darkness is not for everyone. However, according to all reports, it does an admirable job of carrying on the spirit of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead films.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

You liked Glee because it was funny and was filled with fun musical numbers. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is like that, except that it's funnier and the musical numbers are better. Critics and those who already watch the series love it, but its ratings are very low, even by the standards of The CW. Catch it while you can.
