Tonight's Fall Premieres:

8:00 PM EST
The Vampire Diaries (CW)

One of the highest rated shows on The CW, a huge hit with Yidio users, and a 12-time nominee at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, “The Vampire Diaries” is back, and the white-hot love triangle between Elana (Nina Dobrev), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is in full swing.

As the preview clip of the opening episode we ran today shows, TVD fans can expect plenty of er naked feelings and er hard discussions to be had in the opener.

From what we’ve gathered so far, it looks like Stefan's bad streak is only going to get badder this season, and Caroline might very well be spending some time getting up in Tyler’s business. We're going to see some of the fallout from one of Stefan's incidents with Klaus, and as Executive Producer Julie Plec says, "Klaus is just running the show on that side of the story and Klaus is very bad."

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX)

From picking up chicks at abortion protests to accidentally running a gay bar, there is literally no subject too ridiculous or verboten for "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia."

FX offers up this promising season preview:

"Last season, Dee got knocked up, Charlie and Dennis partied in Atlantic City, and Mac fought gay marriage in his own unique, misguided way. This season, tune in to see the Gang prepare for the apocalypse, hit the beach at the Jersey Shore, produce a child beauty pageant, and take a walk down memory lane at their high school reunion. As they say, some things never change. So prepare for more depraved schemes, half-baked arguments and absurdly underhanded plots to subvert one another."

This season's new "Fat Mac" shtick promises things will be even more astoundingly out of hand (and 50 lbs. heavier) than usual.
