'Titanic' Coming Back to a Theater Near You in April 2012...in 3D!

Titanic.jpg" style="margin: 5px; float: left; width: 300px; height: 299px;" />Is James Cameron looking to dethrone himself? Again?

In 2010, Cameron's "Avatar" out-earned "Titanic" and became the new record-holder for the top grossing movie of all time. The argument with that title, however, is that "Avatar" was in 3D, and 3D tickets cost more...so does it really deserve to be #1?

You'd think that Cameron wouldn't care. He has the top two spots regardless. But yesterday brought an announcement that an official re-release date has been chose for "Titanic"...in 3D.

That's right, former pre-teen girls of the late 1990's! You can re-live those awkward years when your bedroom wall was covered in Leonardo DiCaprio posters by going to the theater and seeing the epic romance in digital 3D.

Cameron has touted the virtues of 3D time and time again, so it's not much of a surprise that he's looking to adapt some of his bigger films into 3D versions.

"Titanic 3D" will hit theaters on April 6th, 2012, just a few days before the 100th anniversary of the day the Titanic went on it's ill-fated maiden voyage. This is probably also the first and only time you'll see Kate Winslet naked in 3D, so...there's that.
