'The Three Stooges' Trailer: Watch Snooki Get Her Eyes Poked Out

Have you ever been watching "Jersey Shore" and thought to yourself, "man, I would really love to poke Snooki in the eyes." Well don't you worry one bit: the Farrelly brothers are one step ahead of you.

The first full trailer for "The Three Stooges" has hit, and it gives a taste of the "Jersey Shore" crew's cameo in addition to a load of slapstick. It's a bit surreal watching the trailer, as it uses much of the same physical comedy bits that were employed by the original trio, but now it's in a modern movie. It's like watching Charlie Chaplin use an iPhone.

Speaking of which, it's not all slapstick in the trailer: there's also a whopper of an iPhone pun.

The movie, which updates Larry, Moe and Curly and puts the classic characters in a modern setting, was written by the Farrelly brothers, who brought you "Dumb and Dumber" and "There's Something About Mary," to name a couple. The reboot stars Sean Hayes, Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopolous as the famous trio, and also features Sofia Vergara, Adam Sandler, Larry David, and Jane Lynch.

Judging by this initial trailer, it's tough to know what to think. There's no denying that the original Three Stooges were pretty genius, but does that particular brand of comedy translate to today? Can you simply re-cast the roles and put them in a new setting (the storyline has the Stooges in their own reality show, by the way) and expect the same magic? It'll either be brilliant or a total disaster.

But at least Snooki will get what's coming to her.
