Sunday and Monday: A Four-Hour Special on Kim Kardashian's Wedding on E!
by Richard SharpThis Sunday, if you're not watching football, watering your lawn, washing your hair, getting a root canal or catching up on the scab-picking you've been meaning to do for a few months now, we've got a great idea for something to keep you occupied - watch a four-hour special about the wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries on E!
By now you've heard all the stories of the lavish setup, the ridiculous costs, and virtually every miniscule detail of every moment, but have you seen the live footage? Nope, we didn't think so.
As the E! Network rather breathlessly tells us in all caps in a just-posted release:
"A BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS, HER HANDSOME PRINCE AND TV'S SAVVIEST FAIRY GODMOMAGER COME TOGETHER FOR ONE OF TV'S MOST ANTICIPATED WEDDINGS EVER, WHEN E! PRESENTS “KIM’S FAIRYTALE WEDDING: A KARDASHIAN EVENT” PREMIERING SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9 AT 8:00PM ET/PT AND CONTINUING MONDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT 9:00PM ET/PT."
Simmer down, guys. We know you're excited, but didn't we just already hear about this? Apparently not in sufficient detail.
"The two-part four-hour special picks up where the romantic proposal left off in the season finale of 'Keeping Up with The Kardashians.' Beginning with the initial steps of planning, viewers will see exactly what it takes to pull off the wedding of the year and what happened behind-the-scenes at the extravagant ceremony and star-studded reception. With Kris Jenner, TV's savviest 'Fairy Godmomager,' tackling her daughter's wedding with the same panache and style that has helped make her family one of TV's most watched, no expense is spared and no stone left unturned to make this wedding one for the Hollywood history books."
From the celebrity attendees (including Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, Ryan Seacrest, Justin Bieber, and Serena Williams) to the Vera Wang dress(es), to the $10.9 million estate the wedding was held on, there may be just enough lavish excess to make you forget that horid music video Kim just released.
OK, maybe not. I mean, did you see those pink hotpants. Jumpin' Jehosephat!
