Is This the Most Epic 'Wheel of Fortune' Fail Ever?

We get it. Game shows can be stressful. The cameras are on, your adrenaline is pumping, and as a result you can lose your head a bit.

But this is really something else.

This week on "Wheel of Fortune," a contestant named Stephen gave an answer to a puzzle that has since gone viral, and may go down in history as one of the most perplexing answers even given on the show.

The clue was "song lyric," and as the letters were revealed one by one on the board, it likely became clear to many watching at home that the answer was "surf city, here we come." But it did not become clear to Stephen.

Perhaps he thought he had the answer and buzzed in, only to realize a split second too late that he wasn't quite sure how the lyric ended. Maybe he had a Serene Branson moment. Either way, what came out was definitely not the right answer to the puzzle.

Leave it to Pat Sajak, who deals with dumb answers all the time, to give the perfect response to Stephen's attempt: "Ummm, no."
