Terror Attacks Won't Stop Batman v Superman Premiere

Warner Bros. announced on Tuesday that it would go ahead with the London premier of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice despite terror attacks in Brussels that killed dozens earlier in the day. The studio said, however, that it would cancel the red carpet event before the showing of the film in light of security concerns.

The premiere is set to take place in London's Leicester Square, a busy area in the center of the city's theater and film district. In preparation for a huge event, access to the Square has been limited to ticket holders for the film, and security is on high alert. Sources say, though, that high levels of security are typical for all large-scale events of this type in London, and crowds don't seem to be particularly discouraged by the new terror attacks.

Batman v Superman will officially open in both the UK and North America on Friday, but it will open earlier, on Wednesday, in France. It is expected to easily win the box office competition over the weekend as it sets the stage for upcoming DC-Comics-based movies. Batman v Superman stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
