Teenage Shark Attack Victim Inspires With New Movie

Eight years after losing her arm in a shark attack, Bethany Hamilton is sharing her story in an inspiring movie “Soul Surfer.”

It’s not surprising to see Hamilton, a tall and gorgeous blond, grace the red carpet with sheer poise and bubbling energy.

Just months after she was attacked in 2003, she went back into the water to become a surfing champion.

Hamilton was just 13 when the attack occurred. Today the 21-year-old serves as a role model and an example of the strength of spirit.

According to the Daily Mail Her parents, devout Christians, were relieved to see that the words “Holy Bible” were reinstated in the scene. The title of the text had previously been digitally removed to prevent alienating non-Christian audiences.

As her website explains, when her outward passion and purpose in life was seemingly taken away, she looked inward to her spiritual roots.

Actress Ana Sophia Rob plays Bethany. Her parents are played by Helen Hunt and Dennis Quaid.
