'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles': Here's What Michael Bay's Turtles Look Like (PHOTOS)
by Andy NeuenschwanderFor all those who were concerned about Michael Bay's reboot of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," these photos may or may not make you feel better.
The first photos of what the Turtles will actually look like have hit the web, after months of speculation and nothing but goofy-looking pictures of actors in motion-capture suits.
In the on-set photos, we can catch a glimpse of the heroes in a half-shell as they'll look when all the special effects are completed, thanks to some scale models used on set for reference.
Fans will be happy to know that the Turtles still look more or less like they always have, though they're oddly a bit more human-looking in their facial features.
The Turtles will still be wearing their traditional colored bandanas: Blue for Leonardo, purple for Donatello, red for Raphael and orange for Michelangelo. The rest of the outfits have more of a samurai look, though, with the team wearing some wooden and leather armor.
Also, are those loin cloths? Guess these Turtles are more modest than their cartoon and 1980's live-action counterparts.
The photos also offer a good look at Shredder, who admittedly looks pretty badass in his updated but still classic armor.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" will star Megan Fox, Will Arnett and others, and is set for an August 2014 release. Check out more pictures below:
