'Teen Mom' Star Jenelle Evans Arrested (Again), License Suspended
by Andy Neuenschwander
If the local jail had a loyalty program, "Teen Mom" star Janelle Evans would have earned a free trip by now.
Evans was arrested again today in Myrtle Beach, SC, but her offense wasn't drug-related this time. Evans was instead brought in for driving without a license.
She wasn't just driving around without her license, though: the "Teen Mom 2" star later explained what happened on Twitter. "How r u going to suspended my license becuz a seat belt ticket was paid 3 days late back in 2013?!" she wrote.
Appparently Evans had paid a seat belt ticket three days late (as she claims) but the DMV suspended her license anyway. "Soooo the NC DMV suspends my license last month then doesn't tell me?! Niiiiice," she wrote. However, it wasn't all bad news: "Got my license back tho," she added.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol pulled Evans over around 2:00pm and later booked her. Evans paid $237.50 in bail and was released two hours later. For now, Evans is blaming her lawyer for the mix-up, indicating that she had her lawyer pay the ticket (three days late) and that perhaps her lawyer never got around to it.
For those keeping track, this is Evans' 11th arrest in five years. Those cases include everything from drug possession to cyberstalking to domestic assault.
