'Game Of Thrones' Wins 2012 Outstanding Program TCA Award

'Game Of Thrones' Wins 2012 Outstanding Program TCA Award Let naught but champagne pour throughout the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. People who know television have once more agreed that HBO's "Game of Thrones" is great, E! reports.

Sunday night on the network currently puts the spotlight squarely on "The Newsroom" and "True Blood" but after Saturday night's 28th Annual Television Critics Association Awards, this one is probably Make Room In The Awards Closet Night around the offices. The acclaimed drama based on George R.R. Martin's beloved "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels took home the TCA's coveted Program of the Year honor. So far, in two seasons with a third premiering in Spring 2013, that's the second TCA Award the drama has garnered, alongside 2011's Best New Program honor.

Overall, its first season also received 13 total Emmy nominations, winning two in 2011 - Peter Dinklage's Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series honor and Outstanding Main Title Design. Dinklage repeated the honor at the 2011 Golden Globe, Scream and Satellite awards. This year, it's up for another 12 Emmys, including a repeat nomination for Dinklage.

I'm also giving that picture above my personal honor for Most Awesome "Game of Thrones" JPEG Ever.

Elsewhere last night, FX's "Louie" and Showtime's "Homefront" each took home two honors. "Louie" was honored for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy and star Louie C.K.'s Individual Achievement in Comedy. Meanwhile, "Homefront" was awarded Outstanding New Program and Claire Danes was lauded for Individual Achievement in Drama.
