Taylor Swift on Her Love Life

It’s no secret that Taylor Swift is dating her way through Hollywood. “The Lorax” star opened up recently to Katie Couric about her “hopeless” love life.

“I don’t know how to have a normal relationship because I try to act normal and love from a normal place and live a normal life, but there is sort of an abnormal magnifying glass, like telescope lens, on everything that happens between me and anybody else. So I don’t know how to do that correctly or anything. I don’t really know that much about love, it turns out,” she admits.

She also confirms that the man in question in her huge hit, We are Never Ever Getting Back Together is, in fact, actor Jake Gyllenhaall.

“I didn’t know that that was a thing that people had figured out,” she said in surprise when Couric asked.

What did she have to say about serial dater John Mayer, who claimed he was “humiliated” by her scathing song Dear John?

“Oh, come on,” she scoffs without regret.

Swift maintains that she is “blindly optimistic” about love and relationships despite her continual public breakups.

The interview was reportedly taped before her breakup with latest beau Conor Kennedy, from whom the starlet split last week.

Swift also acknowledges that she deals with emotions through song, a fact that probably surprises none of her millions of album-hungry fans.

“The dust settles and I go to my own corner and actually figure out what I thought about [the relationship]. Sometimes I don’t actually know how I feel about it until I write the song.”

Since her newest album Red was an enormous hit, apparently Swift should just keep on doing what she’s doing: being clueless about love and then turning her journal pages into chart-topping singles. If it ain't broke...
