Taylor Swift to Guest Star on 'New Girl' Season Finale!

The foundation has already set… after multiple Taylor Swift jokes popping up here and there on “New Girl,” the singer herself will be making an appearance on the popular FOX comedy.
The season finale, reportedly cryptically entitled “Downton Abbey Christmas Special (Part II),” will feature Swift playing Elaine, “an important guest” at the wedding of deadpan model CeCe (Hannah Simone) and her over-eager fiancé Shivrang (Satya Bhabha).
Also reportedly guest-starring? A “living, breathing, out-of-control badger.”
Is this Schmidt’s brilliant plan to disrupt the wedding of the love of his life and win CeCe back? Will it end as tragically as the "Downton Abbey" finale?
Swift will tape the show next week while on a short break from her Red tour. The episode will air May 14th. She has also appeared on “CSI,” “Valentine’s Day,” and “The Lorax,” as well as hosting “Saturday Night Live” in 2009.
A fan of the show, Swift has tweeted in the past “Just watched like, every episode of New Girl. Love."
Swift has been name-dropped on the show various times. Schmidt (Max Greenfield) has told CeCe that he was going through a “Taylor Swift-like range of emotions,” and Nick (Jake Johnson) has tried to cheer up Jess (Zooey Deschanel) by dancing while she said she “I just wanted to listen to Taylor Swift alone,” while the country crooner’s popular 22 played in the background.
How will the show work around the fact that they’ve already referenced her in the show? No doubt they’ll find a hilarious and clever way to get around that little detail... I hope.

Note: Next week a new episode of “New Girl” will be appearing at its usual time (9pm EST) a few days later than usual: Thursday (April 4th). Its usual Tuesday slot will hold a re-run. “The Mindy Project,” which generally follows, will be airing new episodes both Tuesday and Thursday.
