Taylor Lautner's Next Post-'Breaking Dawn' Conquest - A Michael Bay Movie

Despite cameras still rolling on "The Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," Taylor Lautner is wasting no time getting his post-werewolf ducks in order.

He's already onboard Incarceron and an untitled spy film, and somehow there's still talk of a Stretch Armstrong adaptation going around. Now, in what is sure to be every producer's dream come true, he and Michael Bay are shopping a project around town.

The project is untitled right now, and the Deadline report describes it only as "'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' meets 'Wanted,'" which is really like saying nothing at all (oh, it's a high-octane thrill ride with lots of guns? And you're saying Michael Bay is directing it? You're sure now?).

Bay has long had a project called "Pain & Gain" on the back burner, a film he's described as similar to "Pulp Fiction," his first "small movie," and proof that he can do something besides huge things crashing into one another.

After "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" came out, Bay's website put up a list of potential next projects, and listed "Pain & Gain" with a link to a Miami New Times article from 1999 of the same name. The article tells the story of two steroid-abusing bodybuilders who get involved in an extortion ring that turns into a kidnapping before going downhill from there.

There's nothing in the Deadline report that claims that "Pain & Gain" and the Lautner/Bay project are one and the same, but it is something Bay has wanted to do for a long time and was something he was chomping at the bit for after "Revenge of the Fallen."
