Is T-Pain Wearing His Oscar Pick On His Skin?

Rapper T-Pain is sporting a new tattoo inspired by Facebook.

The tattoo reads “You Don’t Have to Like Me” and shares a resemblance to the Facebook “Like” button, thumbs up included.

T-Pain tweeted about his fresh skin ink late Thursday night:

“I get a tatt every time I come to Hawaii. I think this one is pretty sweet, unless facebook shuts down soon 0_o.”

The tattoo makes its way to T-Pain’s arm around the same time the movie that highlights Facebook’s controversial creation has been blowing it up at this year’s award events.

The Social Network” recently won Best Picture at the Golden Globes along with three other Globes and has received 8 Oscar nods. The film will again, go up against “The King’s Speech” which is the year’s most nominated film at the Academy Awards with 12 nominations.

Interestingly, T-Pain has more than 2 million followers who “Like” him on Facebook. Furthermore, when T-Pain posted a picture to his wall, the posting received 3,864 “Likes” to date, with 819 comments.

Responses include:

“me likes it..lol ;P”

“Oh.. I like u always”

“ur tat suxx...i hav betta thn tht”

In opposition to the the Grammy winning Rapper there are a handful of anti-T-Pain pages, including “T-Pain Officially SUCKS” with 145 Likes and the group “T-Pain Sucks, And Cant Sing Without Synthesizers” with 284 members. A variation, with far fewer members, “If I Hear T=Pain in Another Song, I Might Die” has 29 members but according to the page, there are no admins left in the group.

T-Pain, 25, turned his bedroom into a music studio at age 10 using a keyboard, beat machine, and four-track recorder. His stage name comes from his hometown in Florida, and is short for Tallahassee Pain.
