'Super Troopers' Sequel is Confirmed!

Broken Lizard member and "Super Troopers" star Steve Lemme has confirmed that a sequel to the cult classic comedy is a go, they just have to finish raising the funds for it.
"You know, it was a combination of having to settle some of the legal disputes about making a sequel, while also negotiating terms for it," Lemme said. "The fans have been asking for it for a while, but we were finally able to package everything together. Fox is going to distribute the film, but we needed to raise the money for it, with a minimum budget of $27 million, which we've just about raised. There may be a Kickstarter launched to raise the last little bit."
So the movie won't exactly be happening right meow, but the plot details appear to be hammered out. "The movie pretty much picks up where we left off in the first one," Lemme said, noting that the action takes place "a few years later."
Filming for "Super Troopers 2" should begin sometime in early 2015. Keep an eye out for that Kickstarter.
