Sunday Cable Ratings: 'Game of Thrones' Sets Record, 'Power' Slips a Spot

Another week, another series-record audience for “Game of Thrones.”
The HBO show continued to grow Sunday, surpassing its previous highs in both adults 18-49 (5.0 rating, 0.3 better than the previous mark, set in the season premiere) and total viewers (10.72 million, up from 10.17 million the prior week).
HBO’s other originals also had good nights: “Ballers” (1.2), “Last Week Tonight” (0.8) and “Insecure” (0.7) were all up a tenth of a point vs. the previous week. “Insecure” tied its series high in adults 18-49 and set a new mark in viewers with 1.3 million.
“Rick & Morty” also improved week to week, rising 0.2 to 1.4. “Power” held steady at 0.8 on Starz, and “Claws” continued its solid run with a 0.6, up a tenth.
