The entertainment company told Hollywood Reporter that the victim was Australian stuntman Scott Mclean. He suffered a car accident last December 19 and is currently on an induced coma through sedation. They sedated Mclean to help him recuperate from the accident.

The statement released by the movie outfit reads, "There was an accident involving a truck and a car on the second unit set of 'The Hangover: Part II' near Bangkok, Thailand, at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 (Bangkok time). A stuntman was injured during the filming of this sequence.”

"The truck and car were both driven by stunt drivers. An ambulance immediately took the injured stuntman to the local hospital, and he has since been transported to a hospital in Bangkok, where advanced care is being provided. We are awaiting further details concerning his condition."

The Hangover: Part II is a sequel to record comedy hit The Hangover reuniting actors Bradley Cooper (Phil), Ed Helms (Stu), Zach Galifianakis (Alan) and Justin Bartha (Doug) in Thailand to attend Stu’s wedding. Stu chose to have a quiet pre-wedding brunch after his unforgettable bachelor’s party in Las Vegas. However, things don’t go as planned…the events in Thailand will be full of surprises for moviegoers to look forward to.

The accident during the shooting of Hangover Part 2 is actually heartbreaking and hopefully, Scott Mclean will recover fast from his injury.

Todd Philipps directs The Hangover: Part II, which will be released on May next year.
