'Stranger Things' Star Is Secretly A Dad

The character Charlie Heaton plays in Stranger Things is only a high school student, but in real life, Heaton is a 23-year-old who has a 3-year-old son. The boy stays at home with Heaton's ex-girlfriend in the UK, though, while Heaton works in North America.

That is, when he can get into North America. Heaton was recently denied entry into the United States when security officials found cocaine among his personal items at the airport in Los Angeles. Heaton was put on a plane back to the UK after the incident.

The “Stranger Things” star, 23, has a 3-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Akiko Matsuura.

The couple had the boy in May 2014 while they were in rock band Comanechi.

Filming the drama in Los Angeles means Heaton rarely sees his son, who lives with his mom, also 23, in London.

A source said: “Charlie became a dad when he was just 20. He met Akiko when he was just a teen and fell head over heels in love. They’re no longer together but they have an amicable relationship for the boy’s sake. Right now Charlie’s career is his priority but he hopes to see more of his son once filming commitments calm down.”

On Saturday, the Sun revealed the star missed a “Stranger Things 2” launch party in the US due to the cocaine bust.

He was stopped at Los Angeles airport, where officials found white powder on his personal items. Charlie was sent back to the UK.
